Educational Programs

Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum offers a wide range of educational opportunities for individuals and groups of all ages. Teachers and group leaders can arrange educational tours for their classes, while individuals can explore our home school and educational outreach programs.

Educational groups can also enjoy a more immersive experience by spending a night at the Museum or joining our Summer Camp program. Our Scouting program also offers opportunities to earn aviation and space merit badges.

Our Educational Programs include:

Educational Tours

Because every class has a different educational goal, we offer customized, age-appropriate tours to meet the needs of your particular class or troop. With advanced notice, we can follow your group tour with an exciting hands-on seminar or activity designed just for your class. Tours can include:

A Timeline: History of Aviation & Space
Explore the history of flight from the Wright brothers to space exploration.

Specific Topics
If you have an interest in the history of a specific topic in aerospace (navigation, women or minorities, warfare, or a time period), please let us know! We can be sure to include these on our tours.

Scavenger Hunts
Learn fun facts about aviation and space, while exploring the museum on your own.

A Conversation in History.
Because many of our volunteers are veterans of World War II, Korea, and Vietnam, with prior notification, you can interview someone with first-hand experience with our aircraft.

To arrange a class tour, please email the Education Department: or call 503-434-4185. School Lunches may also be arranged for tour groups. There are two lunch options that schools can take advantage of during their visit at the Museum. Students/teachers/chaperones have the option of bringing their own sack lunch with facilities provided, or Students/teachers/chaperones can pre-order box lunches from our Cafés. All school box lunches meet current Federal nutrition standards. Lunches must be ordered at time of visitation registration, prior to visit.
